About me
From a young age, I, Miro Gross, have always been creating. Every spare moment — and sometimes even moments when I probably should have been doing something else — I was drawing, crafting, or dreaming up new ideas. That never changed.
Growing up on Terschelling, a small island in the north of the Netherlands, I developed a deep connection with nature. This influence is still present in my work today: just like in nature, you’ll rarely find straight lines in my creations.
After years of creating without formal training, I decided to study furniture making. In Amsterdam, I completed a program in furniture making and ship interior construction, where I thoroughly enjoyed learning the professional craft of woodworking. From there, I started my own business, creating pieces both for clients and for myself.
While wood remains a central material in my work, I now also explore steel, light, and other elements. Every day I continue to learn new techniques, pushing myself to create more challenging and inspiring pieces.
